Where many folks may pick up a glass of refreshing lemonade to enjoy in the summer, I rather prefer to enjoy my lemons savory and added to any dish I can get my hands on! When we decide to plant something, whatever it might be, we do it with great vision of what it can become and then we invest our time and energy to care for it so that it has the best possible opportunity to become all it is meant to be.

Whether we spend our porch time visiting with those sitting with us, sharing a hand wave to neighbors passing by or indulging in the opportunity to share a conversation with neighbors who can stop and chat a while, front porches allow us to connect with each other in a way that we wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to do. It gives us permission to stop and engage with others and get to know them a little more than we did before.
